Anatolia's Ancient Heritage Staged at Expo 2025 Osaka: 'Legend of Kün-Ay'
Organized under the 'Hey Day of Civilizations' vision of the T.R. Ministry of Trade, the National Day of Turkey at Expo 2025 Osaka was crowned with the 'Legend of Kün-Ay' show, with General Art Direction by Özgür Adam İnanç.
"In the musical infrastructure, the story of the Ertuğrul Frigate, which set sail to Japan for friendship in 1890 and sank, was brought to life through music to emphasize the friendship between the two countries."
The conceptual core of the piece is formed by the "Kün" (Sun) and "Ay" (Crescent) symbols carved into stones in Göbeklitepe, considered the zero point of humanity.
Constructed with the concept of "Gesamtkunstwerk" (total artwork) that brings together all art disciplines of the Germans, the show brought together many disciplines from modern dance to folk dances, digital design to artificial intelligence technologies.
Among those who watched this monumental performance that made a great international impact were General Director of State Opera and Ballet Tan Sağtürk and General Director of Fine Arts Ömer Faruk Belviranlı, giving the highest level of support to our country's cultural vision.
